Well, Chicago Cubs, the Curse of the Goat continues. It was a good run. You have Dusty Baker next year. Your overzealous fan apologized, though undercover because of purported death threats (Florida Governor Jeb Bush offered him asylum), too. Next year?

While at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, the crowd was cheering during the Red Sox win over the Yankees. Gothamist believes that this is because they wanted a Boston-Chicago World Series match up. Tough luck, jerks. Yankees-Red Sox Game 7 is tonight.

The people who really wanted a Cubs-Sox World Series were sitting in a board room at Fox Networks.

Fox wants a New York team in the series. Lotsa ratings, lotsa money.

A Florida v. New York series would be a ratings nightmare. No one else in the nation outside of our fair city wants to see the Yanks win again.
The Red Sox would be a much better story.
