wow.... I must apologize for being over 2 years late with my comment, but you folks are totally NUTZ!!! First off, Arnie ONLY married Maria 'cuz she's a Kennedy (that's how high-powered ARRANGED marriages come to be); Second: he has been put in place to one day become President ("foreigners" (sorry if I hurt someone's feelings) aren't soposed to have the right to be president; at least not according to the Constitution);

Third: he's a Bohemian Grove member (they like to dress up in hooded robes and "pretend" to commit human sacrifices (as if that's TOTALLY NORMAL); and finally (since this is what everybody seems to be so worried about) Yeah, Maria looks pretty darn anorexic to me. (But in light of what I mentioned earlier, who could really blame the poor girl).

I hope that some of you big-brained forward thinking folks out in Cali can figure out a better solution for governor come next vote.

Probably the best thing to happen to this country would be for him to be president in the next decade. As for Maria's change in appearance...it is odd. But she is getting older and faces tend to thin out when you lose a lot of weight.

Maria Shriver's cheekbones make her look like Cruella Deville, who (in case you don't know) is a cartoon!

I hadn't seen Maria Shriver on T.V. in a long time. I just saw some footage of her tonight (relating to Arnold officially signing in as governor of California). I was shocked by her unnatural appearance. She looked like a scarecrow! And her face - jutting cheekbones and skin stretched to the limit. It was painful to look at her. I wondered if she'd been very ill or in a car accident. So I entered "maria shriver plastic surgery" in Google and arrived here. I see I'm not the only one who has noticed how shocking her appearance is.

She appears to have had checkbone implants put in. Remember those jutting jawbones? They tried everything to diminish them--make-up, hairstyles. You just couldn't take your eyes off her horse like jaws. SO they gave up that route and made her cheekbones enormous to counteract the jutting jaws....now she looks bizaar to say the least. I mean, really look at those cheekbones--NO ONE has bones like that. ANd yes, she is rail thin and looks haggard. And yes her mother looks frightfully undernourished as well.

Yeah, she definitly looks like she got plastic surgery on her face cuz her bone structure looks so different..maybe lipo as well. I thought I was the only one who noticed that!

Hey, since you mention it, I thought Amanda Peet was delovely before that Gap Fall ad featuring the skinny scarf came out. They took a great lookin lady and made her ugs...

Smart doesn't have to mean "intelligence".. it can mean savviness. And I am not at all impressed by fame and glitz... I certainly don't think she's "book-smart." I think the whole California recall is horrendous. I'm just saying that she played her cards to her own liking.

Getting what you want = Intelligence? Hmmm. But I get the sense you guys are more impressed by glitz, looks, etc. so I'll step off. Way off.

I think it makes her smart because she did something that she wanted to do. She wanted to more famous and powerful, and she found someone who could help her do that. She figured out how to get what she wanted. Smart.

And being part of a power couple makes you smart? Maria projects intelligence the first time you see her because of her family and even perhaps, barring her anorexia, how she looks, but then she says something and all that goes down the drain. I'm making a point about it mainly because I've always been so struck by her air-headedness-- it's never not surprising to me.
