Medical Examiner Rodgers: "Now if you'll excuse me, I need to go and remove a javelin from some guy's chest."
Lenny Brisco: "Sometimes I wonder why you like this job."
Rodgers: "Free javelins!"

I love love love the idea about L&O spin-offs about tertiary characters. THe poor security staff at Hudson University, where there are so many murders as well as so many murderers.

And I want Jerry Orbach to break into song on L&O someday. As well as Jesse L. Martin. Maybe Paige Davis (Trading Spaces host, also was in touring company of Beauty and the Beast) needs to guest as a suspect who challenges Briscoe and Green to a sing-off.

He could steal from the Buffy milieu and do an episode of "Law & Order: The Musical Comedy". We know Orbach could handle it. Maybe the premise could be Skoda accidentally getting injected with something while trying to medicate a patient - he then hallucinates an entire amusing episode of L&O, with feeling!

Why not make a sitcom cast around the civilians who seem to pop up in every episode. Aren't you fascinated by what they're doing when they aren't obstructing an investigation?

"Law and Order: The bickering couple that discovers the body at the beginning of the episode get their own series"

"Law and Order: 'Now, if you'll excuse me officers, I have a business to run.'"
