interesting: Laura Linney blurry looks a bit like Nicole Kidman. however, Tim Robbins blurry still looks like Tim Robbins, and Sean Penn blurry still looks like Sean Penn's bored.

Yes, it was a little odd...in the book, it's much clearer what the Markhams' place in the town social hierarchy is. The role of Annabeth is the least developed, I think, which made it hard to convey the meaning.

Did anyone find Laura Linney's last minute come-on, i.e., "You can run this town!" a little odd and out-of-the-blue?
