Gothamist thinks the costume designer for Catwoman got the wrong directions. This Catwoman get-up is so in-your-face it's not sexy. Think cat suit. And sure, Halle Berry looked great in a bikini in Die Another Day, but Catwoman is not some undercover government operative trying to seduce someone on Her Majesty's Service. Here, this outfit is clearly trying too hard. And also, Catwoman is catlike, not attacked by cats. Gothamist is not understanding.

The dogs are out to chase her, she looks like a bone fashionably clothed like a mummy, i hope she's not really annoying for the dogs (there's a big possibility that even dogs will turn her down). All she can do know is to join the cast of Stuart Little and act as a nemesis of Snowball at least to save damages for the most recent episode of Batman.

When I first heard of a catwoman film in the works i was like "Yeah whatever", then when I heard the heavenly goddess of hollywood Ashley Judd(I'm in love with her y'know!)was going to play catwoman i was like "man, she's purfect for a leather clad super hero! I'm there!" then I hear that she quit and Halley was taking over, i was like "oh well catwoman is nothing fancy anyway, whatever(full circle, by the way)" but now that i see what catwoman will look like in the film i am like "holy cow! that is one of the lamest, most degrading costumes in comic-film history, i mean what in hell!? I'm so not there!" Oh Halley, what were you thinking! Halley... Halley... Halley! Okay that's all I've got to say.
First of all does anyone remember a tiny figure in black history, named Eartha Kit. She was one of the original actors portraying Catwoman. Lets get over it, we are all prejudice to some degree. It does not matter what "Black " organization you have given to or who you're dating, some of these comments even on this page have sent a loud message. Lets back off Halle, she did deserve the Oscar, maybe not for that role, but it was about time Hollywood caught up to her.
Just for the record, I'm not a racist or a Halley-hater, I just think its obvious that the "geniuses" at warner bros or whatever, care more about finding actors who are "in" and less about whether or not they fit the role. The costume above couldn't possibly be the official Catwoman costume, it was probably a prototype or one of the rejects. And that was definatley not Halle modeling it either. Well, atleast a majority agrees that Tim Burton was the best at directing Batman movies (although I also liked the ones that preceded him). Well, for one thing, this is not another Batman film. If you do not keep up with the comics, then you'll get lost and confused. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe Patience Prince (or is it Price?) is a newer Catwoman after the character Selina Kyle died/disappeared.

Yes, yes, it would be good to know something about this movie other than "she's a catburgular working for the government" and that Halley Berry is in it. Out of those villains that Aaron mentioned I think Poison Ivy would be good, not just because it would be woman against woman but also because I'd like to see her being portrayed properly instead of all cartoonish and campy like in Batman and Robin, but don't get mne started on that abomination! I think Ashley Judd could play Ivy, she would be awesome! Yes... I am also Cat Lover.

I am a big fan of Batman (thanks to my son) and also a big fan of Halle Berry. That said, this costume is ridiculous! She doesn't look like a kick-ass supervillain at all. I can't believe Halle would subject herself to such blatant objectification. This movie is going to be horrible. She said herself in her interview on Regis&Kelly that while filming, the crew would wait around to see "things falling out" of her costume. How are movie-goers supposed to buy this as a supervillain costume? It's pathetic and I am disappointed in Halle's decision to be a part of this. She usually makes great choices -at least with regard to her movie roles.

It truly is sad when filmakers try to reinvent classic characters, i mean why!? That Spidey movie was so cool, but damned if i can get over how silly the Goblin's costume is! I mean making the outfit fully green is fair enough, but a metalalic helmet with no dangly cap! That just ain't right, bub! Gobby is nothing without his flowing cap and a rubber mask would've looked so cool. WE can only hope that when Harry becomes a Goblin they will not make the same mistake.

Hi guys! Anyway, during some of Halle Berry's interviews, I never once heard her mention anything about the Catwoman of the comic books when describing her character. She always said that her character was paying tribute to the black actress who played Catwoman in the t.v. series, not the one of the comics. So for ya'll comic book fanatics, HALLE BERRY'S CATWOMAN IS NOT BASED ON YOUR PRECIOUS SWEETHEART FROM THE COMICS! Is that finally clear? Just wanted correct that little problem.
Forgot something. Please don't base a movie on a costume rough draft. I doubt that the people behind the movie's advertising would show the final product so early. I agree that this movie will probably suck but let's give it a chance to suck. To play it safe, I'll stay away from the movie theatre and rent it at Blockbuster's. I must give Halle major credit for taking on these roles, although in her interviews she didn't sound as upbeat as she was when she played JINX. By the way, the sequel to JINX has been scrapped. As for the costume, I thought it was the Black Scorpion at first, then I read that this is the new "21rst Centuty Catwoman". God, another Catwoman. Give me Julie Newmar any day. Still, I can't help getting hot for a beautiful woman in a mask.

Hey thanks Jacqui, seeing her in that outfit makes me rethink all my negative presumptions and such. Presuming isn't always a good thing, so don't think it just is! Anyway yeah I hope that's going to be her action clothes, but with some kind of cat mask thing on her face of course. I think Sharon Stone will be a catwoman too, at least that's how I'd do it. Okay Claudia, now tell us how ya really feel! I didn't find anything wrong with Storm, but now that you mention it, she wasn't quite as powerful as she shoulda been. But this is partly because of the script, Storm never really did all that much in either movie. Anyway... i'm not a Halley Berry fan either, I don't mind her at all, just don't see what the big fuss is about. I think Ashley Judd should play one of those super heroines, she really has the stuff! She really needs to lay off the muder mystery roles, sheesh!
