When Gothamist sees this new offering from Hershey's, the chip-shaped "Swoops," we think two things: The first is "messy"; frankly, M&Ms know what they are talking about with their tagline, "Melts in your mouth, not in your hand," 'cause Swoops has melty mess written all over it. Second, we think "Get the Pringles ready so we can make Pringle-and-chocolate sandwiches."
The Hershey's website.

Wouldn't they all melt together in the package and come out as one big clump?
Oooh. But good for making smores.
Excellent point! This seems a huge huge mess! I'm thinking about the chocolate under the nails...ew.
I think one thing: flavored wax.
maybe they're coated. or maybe you are supposed to eat them with chopsticks...what's that thing on the left--i can't make out what it's supposed to be, but it may be some sort of funky spoon they attach to not mess up them hands (or nails).
Hershey's sold Rain-Blo? I didn't know they still make that. I used to love those things.
Hershey's used to make these cute little chocolate cows that they called "How Nows." They came in a little milk carton. I hope they bring those back someday. Same thing with the dark-chocolate KitKats they had recently. Those were fantastic.
But I will also be happy to have a Swoop/Pringle sandwich.
Why can't they just sell chocolate covered pringles? Like the delicious Flipz partnership of Rold Gold and Nestle. That is worth the mess.
mommy mommy, I want some doo doo chips!
I actually thought of Sheryl Swoops, who's known primarily as "Swoops". Aer we looking at trademark infringement?
Someone gave me these for a gift recently, and I find them to be very tasty. They don't melt together, don't worry. They make enjoyable snacks.
I agree! These swoops are very good and are not a mess at all. They are conveniently packaged. They also are a good item to throw in a gift basket. I shared them with quite a few people and they were an instant hit!!!
I bought two packages; the original and the york to use when decorating cupcakes. They were great! VERY tasty and not messy at all. I stuck one in each cupcake right above the candy decorations and they were a big hit. These would make great stocking stuffers and not a bad price. Just think, you'll get three stuffers in one box! :) I'm looking forward to trying the Reese's style.
I love them - so thin and tasty
I loved them. They aren't anything spectacular, but they are good. No mess at all!

These things are awesome. Fit right on the tongue and you can let them melt... mmmmmm.
I have tried them and they are DELICIOUS!!!!
Gothamdude, you obviously have not tried these snacks. Melty mess? Uh no. Delightfully delicious? YES.
THE ADVERTISEMENT PLAYS THE TUNE SWOOP THERE IT IS ---WHO WERE THE ORIGINAL ARTISTS OF THAT SONG IN THE 90S????? THANKS MAC
As far as I can tell there were two versions of that song (which was changed for the Hershey's spot) out in the 90s.
One version was by Tag Team and it was called Whoomp (There It Is). The other version was by 69 Boyz and it was called Whoot (There It Is).
Hope this helps!
I forgot why I came to this site in the first place! Where can I find these Swoops? I haven't seen them in my grocery store.
The Reese's peanut butter version of these are absolutely disgusting!!!
