The new trailer for Kill Bill, Volume 1, is up at Yahoo! Movies. Gothamist can't tell if we are that into some of Uma's line deliveries, but we do think some of the set-ups are great (school girl with crazy weapon; school boy who is shamed into crying; Uma vs. Vivica Fox, interrupted by Vivica's character's kid coming home from school; Daryl Hannah walking menacingly down the hall). And we can't complain when a character in a movie says, "Silly rabbit."

Eek! Quentin Tarantino resorts to bullet-time. Noooooooooooooooooo! Also I think Uma waking up with a big gasp (exactly like in Pulp Fiction) is too cliché. I hope Tarantino kept his 'absurd dialogue' habit like in his previous movies. It might balance the act a bit. Basically, the preview makes it look weak, I hope there will be more to it than sword-fights and tough-talk.
I hope it's less talk and more rawk. From the looks of the trailer, this looks like one of those blood & guts Shaw Bros. kung fu films from the early seventies. At least I hope he's trying to go for that look.
I hope. I pine. I wish. The father of one of the greatest films of our time must not go out like a punk. I'm sure it will be entertaining, possibly even inspired, but this trailer gives me pause. Wire-fu? So five minutes ago, if you ask me. The samurai sword deal looks to pay off - no film is complete without a sword or two. The two-part thing is probably also two-fold, in Weinstein's eyes, at least: (1), give Tarantino a solid four hours with which to tell his story, and (2), cash in on the trilogy-mania that's been sweeping the film world these past couple of years at the hands of Lucas, Jackson, and the Wachowski brothers.
well, the wire-fu thing will be great if it's done old school, and not too Couching Tiger / Matrix, without a lot of post production effects. As far as I'm concerned, this is going to be a 70's-kung fu-blaxploitaion-anime-revenge rip off(in a good way, though), and totally unlike his previous films, which were heavy on characters and dialogue. It looks messy and lets hope it turns out that way. I'll be watching to be entertained, not intrigued.
quentin tarantino is an absolute rip off,the matrix was the best kung fu movie of all time, but with all its philosphy you cant understand it,and quentin tarantino just ripped off every single action and kung fu movie alive, the only people who like it are the ones who can finally understand a storyline to a movie(because kill bills story is such a crappy rip off and a handicap could even understand it)so before you comment on the matrix you need to understand it first, but with all its philosphy you idiots cant understand it,but anyway only an idiot will like kill bill
Yes...and only a full on dork will use a name like "Weapon"...oh...so cool.
