The City Wants Your Blackout Thoughts

Photo - NY Times

As part of the Mayor's investigation into the Blackout of 2003, there is an online survey that Mayor is encouraging everyone to fill out. There is some question to how respresentative the results will be, but all agree that the sentiment is right. Results will be released after the survey closes this Thurday, September 18th.

Question "How did you get to a safe destination during the power outage? (A safe destination may be your home, that of a friend or relative, or public shelter/crisis center.)" has "Walked over a bridge" as one of the possible multiple choice answers.

Looking for a young woman named 'Chrissy' who another passenger and I, helped during the blackout. We were a downtown 'f' train at 4:15pm when the blackout hit. She was dehydrated and carried her through the tunnels and outside to, I believe, Broadway and Layfayette where she was taken by ambulance to St. Vincents hospital. I just wanted to make sure everything turned out ok'
