I know I definitely loved watching "Threes Company" and "8 simple rules"...It isn't the same without John Ritter..he added so much liveness and humor to the shows.He will be missed by many all over the world.

John Ritter also guested on Allie Mc Beal as the sweetest, sexiest of all the imperfect guys she ever fell for. His departure from her life, doing "the funny walk" was memorable (practically the only memorable moment in fact). He was Tex Ritter's youngest son, according to the news.

I did a double take this morning when they said John Ritter had died. And that his birthday was next week. And anniversary. Sigh. Very sad.

i know i loved watching three's company over and over and over again growing up, but man, i haven't been able to shake thinking about this all day. he was way too young. now *I* feel old.thx, John, for pratfalls behind the couch, overheard innuendo and mistaken identities, kitchen door collisions, trips to the beagle, girl-chasing, bistro-scheming, trading zany faces with don knotts, and making a tiny, plain apartment in santa monica look like just the coolest thing.

this is just shattering- john ritter and johnny cash in the same day. i loved john ritter- and not just for three's company- he was also an amazing character actor. he even appeared on buffy.

this is a total bummer. and he absolutely was one of the best when it came to physical comedy--i wish i could remember more about the episode (i haven't seen the show since i was one of those kids you mention), but there was one three's company where jack is at some formal party, in a tux, and they just let this incredibly long (for tv) sequence of classic spastic jack bumbling run on and on, sans dialogue--one of the funniest things i've ever seen on television. he was great in sling blade, too. *sigh* a sad, bad day for johnnies.
