A cold and boring actor. But his face is rather batlike.
I think a cold and boring actor is what this role needs. Much of the screen time is spent in the rubber suit. But what if the actor who was cast could act their way out of a plastic bag? The potential damage to the very expensive bat suit is just too great to risk. Plus all that acting talent would be wasted as there are only a few, small holes in the costume for the acting to get out.

Christian is truly talented and anyone who would base their opinion on his family background has never seen All The Little Animals, Newsies, Laurel Canyon, or any of his movies, which prove he is an amazing actor with a lot of versitility.

To all you narrow minded, adolescently envious idots. Especially to Sasha and to the one who's opinion really Doesn't Matter!!! I first saw Christian in Newesies with my daughter. I said then he was a young actor with great range and he would grow up to be one handsome man. Right on both counts. I recently seen Equilibrium on a whim and instantly reconized him. The movie was the best movie I've seen in years. The movie was excellently written, directed and acted. Christian's range of emotions expressed within a character who has no emotions was exquisite...subtle but stirringly poigniant, which gave the movie it's breath. I've rarely seen hollywood's top paid actors come close.
NO ONE will ever do Batman like Keaton. No one. But I'll give Christian Bale a chance, he's gotta be better than those two disgraceful blokes Kilmer and Clooney, havent any of you ever seen American Psycho or Treasure Island? Christian's a good shit.

It was pure genius to cast Christian Bale as Batman. He is truly an amazing actor and one fine looking man. No one else could have done what he did in Equilibrium, which by the way was the best movie I have ever seen and I can't wait to see what he can do as batman. It's going to be awesome and anyone who isn't excited about this movie is crazy. I love you Christian. Kick some ass in Batman Begins!!
Sign me up for the Bale bandwagon. He will rock as Batman. I can't wait to see it. I just hope the film is as great as his performance surely will be. He is one of the few genetically gifted actors out there, who can really act and just radiates intelligence and charisma. Christian, you rock!

I'm not exactly an authority on this actor as i have only seen two of his films-All the little Animals and American Psycho. I didn't know at the time that it was one and the same person. When i did find out, i was pretty impressed indeed at Christian's ability to play such disparate characters. He has a natural born gift for acting, an amazing talent for accents and an intrinsic self-possession. Undoubtedly, he's certainly photogenic - he should go far! My only criticism, if i dare, is to say i feel he may take himself a little too seriously and may be a little scientific in his approach to his roles. He needs to warm up a little, be a bit sexier or he's in danger of becoming merely a set of handsome features and a technically flawless interpretator. Personally, i like a few flaws.
To me christian is batman. He blew the others out of the water. I absoutely loved this movie. I saw it a lot. Can't wait for the release on Oct. 18th!!!!!
