Jen, honey, if you want to tease us Canadians, you'd better spell 'pejorative' correctly . It's a "Canada" goose, just like it's a "Baltimore" oriole, not a "Baltimorean" oriole. But a Canada Goose still leaves enough feces in it's wake to make it deservedly disliked.

i like how the story posits the "accident" as the plane ramming into the geese, but gothamist is all about the geese ATTACKING the plane. hmmm, who really is at fault here???

Not to be a stickler, but they are "Canada geese", and not Canadian geese. Don't ask me why, I forget why frankly, but my editor ripped me a new Canadian butthole when I put it in a story.

I think this was their way of saying, that they are getting a LIT-tle tired of being chased off suburban corporate parking lots by dogs. A little, "hey tough guys--you want the fight? 'Bring it on' . . ."

I'm guessing the plane's damaged engine did a number on the geese as well, i.e. an unexpected inch of precipitation in the form of foie gras.
