Having tried some of the Campbell Apartment's old fashioned cocktails, I'd have to say that they didn't seem that strong . . . and I could be completely off base but I think that the reason why they have so much sugar and stuff in them is that in olden days alcohol wasn't as mild/consistent as it is today. Just a guess.

those drinks sound pretty vile. for some reason, i've never understood the fruity/multi-alcohol drink (sex on the beach, mai tai, etc.) i guess at 10 bucks a pop, you are getting bang for your buck since i'm sure after just one you are ready to pass out or puke.
