Rollerblader Hit-and-Run on the Lower East Side

Avishay Cohen was hit by the driver of a van while rollerblading at Delancey and Ludlow at about 8PM on Sunday night. The 26 year-old Williamsburg resident is in critical condition at Bellevue Hospistal. Police have arrested a suspect, James Simpson, 57 year old, of Bedford-Stuyvesant. Apparently, Cohen was first hit by the van and then somehow he managed to get pinned underneath a taxi. A police officer said, ""It was horrible. What happened was crazy. I just couldn't figure out how he got pinned down there."

It's just like the incident that sparked the Crown Heights riots. Let's go round up a posse of Satmars in Billyburg and flip over some police cars.

At first I thought this was about the jazz musician, but he spells his name "Avishai" and is a few years older.

Damn, I've gotta get the strap on my bike helmet fixed.

Yes - helmets are important. I'm not sure Jake wears a helmet when he skates. Must get on that or he'll have bigger problems than a farked computer.
