I blame Canada. We had our chance to set them straight in the Pig War but no.. we chickend out and did not invade Vancouver BC. 54-40 or Fight! Now we have to share a power grid and the Great Lakes with them.

how are you updating with the power out?

I work in Newark, NJ and left my office at 5:00pm then went on a journey of Robinson Caruso proportions. First, I waited in a line at Newark’s Penn Station for a bus to Journal Square, only to find out that the PATH Trains were not running. Had to take a cab with three other gentlemen to Hoboken to get on the New York Waterway (I am NOT a boat person!). Got off at South Street Sea Port in which I had to walk to 24th Street & Madison Avenue around 8pm where going up Broadway the only light was the traffic in the street; I got on a New York Express bus to the Bronx (where I live). The whole journey took 5½ hours. As a testament to the people that I met along the way: not ONE person was overly angry or upset (just a little bewildered!). We all worked together to find a way for all of us to get home. I never in a million years thought that a Blackout of such proportions could honestly be fun!
