Not only is Monterey home to some of the most beautiful and picturesque coastline anywhere, it's home to sea lions who are more than happy to hang out in boats. Jake captured some great photos of sea lions on his mini road trip from L.A. to S.F. Gothamist debated why sea lions might like boats. Perhaps they are intrigued by this not-quite-solid-land but still dynamic-yet-not-water medium. Or they want to seem cooler than the sea lions who only know how to lie on the beach.
