To Nipple or Not to Nipple

Angelina Jolie as Lara Croft, the way nature meant it to be

To avoid any controversy, Angelina Jolie's nipples were retouched out of the posters for Tomb Raider: Cradle of Life. Avoid controversy with everyone except for Angelina Jolie, who is annoyed that she was de-nipped: "I wanted my nipples to be there to see."

Famously, nipples were made nippy in Showgirls. But there are some nipples Gothamist doesn't like seeing: Nipples on body builders. Scary.

I just thought I say hi even though I know she might not reply...

It's okay, Jason, I'm just giving you a hard time. My parents can barely remember my name, so that's much more of an issue than a momenty of blog identity confusion.

  • So, *so* embarrassed.

    1. despite the hype, this site is WAY better than gawker (I know you guys are friends though), 2. bless you for posting that photo. you are definitely a guy's gal. :^)

  • She also looks great on the cover Rollingstone.

  • Jen

GAWKER? Christ. As if I don't have enough esteem issues.

  • Er, that's Angelina, not Angeline. Now she's got my typing all stuttered.

  • I completely agree with Angeline. I've loved her nipples since way back in 1995 when she did Hackers. They should be out there for everyone to enjoy. They do prove somewhat distracting when trying to pay attention to a movie, however.

  • You're gonna keep that photo at the top of Gawker permanently, right?

  • Jen

Anything for you, baby. You know I love you.

  • Sam

    Jen,

I have a lot of work to do. But thanks for the distraction. You're a pal.

  • HELOOOOOO angelina!!

it reminds me of elaine's holiday card nipple.

  • What a public service you've done by showing us the UNTOUCHED photos. :)
