The last picutre is from my old office - Until shortly after 9/11, I sat in that space (there was a small bookshelf on the left on top of the table) with that view. Now that I have moved to a location where the 10th floor is the tallest building around, I greatly miss the view and aura of the building. Thanks for the picture!

Sorry -- I was out of town last week and missed this when it went up, but looking at your photos now it occurs to me that the picture of the crate in the Warner Bros building looks an awful lot like the Ark of the Covenenant as described in the Old Testament (also, the Indiana Jones movie). Or is that a common way to rig up heavy boxes for moving purposes?

I loved this post. I found it very touching. I'm not sure why. Your experience with the woman on the subway actually put a lump in my throat. Possibly due to the juxtaposition of the solitary private experience you were having and the connection with a total stranger, a shared moment. It was beautiful. Am I a total corn-ball, or what? This is what happens when my ambitions overreach my abilities - thanks for catching that, tiqtoq. And I'm glad some of you like the post, which truly doesn't do The Angel Project justice. Hopefully Deborah Warner will come back around with another project. Till then, I recommend people go to Roosevelt Island. It's a nice easy "day trip."

Very cool, Gothamist! Love the idea of a scavenger hunt for thought-provoking installations that are a bit creepy. From here, looking at all the photos is like being in NY with the sounds of the city turned off. Ahh, the city!
