Underworld: Think Vampire Matrix

Kate Beckinsale in UnderworldThe vampire-werewolf movie, Underworld, looks like it was shot on leftover sets from The Matrix, not to mention copiously uses the bullet-time special effects The Matrix made popular. Even Kate Beckinsale's outfit cops the Trinity latex bodysuit.

It's interesting to see Beckinsale in a more actiony, less bodicey, role, though, even as the undead. Scott Speedman (oh, Ben Covington) co-stars.

Kate Beckinsale is the most beautiful girl in the (Under)World

Underworld was awesome. Much better than the Matrix, in my opinion. If anyone here likes anime, she reminds me much more of Gally from Battle Angel than Trinity.

  • ZeeC

god damn! i love that movie... my name ZeeC means psychotic demon chic in vampire...

  • Mike

Trinity from Matrix looks like a man. Kate looks sexy and the movie kicked ass.

  • Shadow Wolf aka Meagan

...Ok i have a wearwolf name yet I love vampires something is wrong...but damn the movie was good. And shes a great actor

  • Schizophrenix

i thought it was a really good movie. so yeh, it may have some matrix-y elements, but kate looks so much hotter than trinity. and i love the boots/catsuit/trench coat combo. i thought the film was excelent, even with all the blood...:D

  • Sophia Myles is definatly hotttttttttt

  • Invertix

It's Latex not leather. :P Big difference.

I Agree Kate Beckinsale in a tight leather cat suit is sexy as hell. But lets not forget about cute little Sophia Myles who plays the "other" hottie vampire in Underworld named Erika. Sophia is very very sexy also! I can't wait for this film.

  • I think it looks like fun movie to watch on HBO.

  • I think it looks alirght... I mean, Werewolves and Vampires and flipping around and jumping and, you know, blood.

  • It looks good in a strictly objective sense (there seems to be an awful lot of blue gel lighting), and certainly Beckinsale in a leather catsuit looks good (some would say that "spectacular" would be a more appropriate intensifier, but whatever).

It also looks like an absolutely dreadful movie: Blade without the self-mocking humor; The Matrix without the postmodernism.

On the other hand, Kate Beckinsale in a leather catsuit does make one forgive any number of cinematic sins.
