i think jen and lena are right hilary duff would be perfect for the part as betty, for veronica we can get someonewho plays a part as: a selfish brat, who thinks she's all that and treats betty like a big idiot, but sometimes she is nice to her, and she is really rich, has loads and tons of clothes, and ya, (some1 who can play as rich and snobby)that would be awesome!!

I HAVE TO AGREE AND DISAGREE WITH A LOT OF PEOPLE: AGREE- Topher Grace is the #1 and ONLY choice to play Archie. Reason: He starred in That 70s Show and has that retro-groovy-vibe...definitely Archie. DISAGREE- Do NOT everr...in my lifetime....*blood booiling..do not EVER cast HILARY DUFF, LINDSAY LOHAN or any of those cheap, pseudo-thespians to play BETTY COPPER. Reason: Self-explanatory. AGREE- Selma Blair will nail the part of Veronica. Reason: She already established this "cold-brunette" persona in Legally Blonde. DISAGREE- Kristin Kreuk should NOT play Betty or Veronica. Reason: She is not a blonde, neither will she pass as a blonde. Plus, she is too sweet to be the cruel-hearted Lodge. AGREE- Zooey Deschanel can play Betty. Reason: I haven't seen her act, but I've seen her pictures and she sorta reminds me of Betty. Just as long as her voice is not deep.

It's a pitty that this project has not shown any advance up to now, because it's the type of fresh teen movies that are so needed. Hi again! it seems I don't have anything better to do, right? It's just that I have checked the ptions given for Jughead and Reggie Mantle and I absolutely agree with the options of Shia LeBeouf and Corey Servier!! I also agree with Lindsay Lohan as Cheryl Blossom, she's perfect! Just the type of girl that is always winner.And I would like to add something about my suggestions for Archie: Frankie Muniz is not cute at all, but very sympathetic, just as I perceive Archie,I mean, I haven't ever understood why in the world all the girls are after him. Besides, he also has thick eyebrows just like Archie, but he is too short. On the other hand, David Gallagher (not Aaron Carter as I wrote mistakenly) is sweet,cute (as all the Riverdale girls perceive Archie), has also thick eyebrows, his hair is kind of redish, he's tall and... he's a teen!

I think the best casting options in looking would be: Selma Blair, Rachel Blanchard,and Topher Grace for Veronica, Betty and Archie; but if we really want teenagers for the cast (which I don't think is that important considering that Selma frequently appears as teenager like in Cruel intentions, or the Scooby Doo cast, and in general all teenage programs and movies have over 20's actors)the cast would be: Hillary Duff for sweet Betty, Aaron Carter or Frankie Muniz (excepting that he is too short) for the part of Archie, and Keira Knightley playing gorgeous Veronica (she has had dark hair looking great) All of them are less than 20.

I agree that they should cast this film with fresh new faces. I think the actors chosen to play these parts should have a cartoony look about them, i.e. large eyes, really wide smiles, very bold features. Someone with that really sunshiney vibe like Reese Witherspoon would make a good Betty, but I still vote for a newcomer. Does anyone know about casting calls for this film, etc? I would love to get involved in any way.

i think that they should cast actors and actresses that aren't very well known, for two reasons: a) to hopefully produce some new talent AND b) to make sure viewers don't just think of them as the actress or actor from this movie or that movie or whatever (eg; i think that Rupert Grint would make a good archie if he was older, but everyone would recognise him as ron weasly, and it would kinda ruin the movie...) Betty: No idea Veronica: Christy Carlson-Romano (Jennifer Stone - Cadet Kelly, the voice of Kim Possible) or Margo Harshman (Tawny Dean - Even Stevens) Jughead:Patrick Fugit (Paul Trout-White Oleander)

hey yall, i disagree with all of u!! i mean, all these actresses and actors you all have mentioned are- well, old. they shud be younger. my vote for archie goes to justin timberlake- not coz im in love with justin or sumthin- coz, he makes the perfect archie.. coz everytime i flip thru a comic i dunno, i c justin as archie.. they just look alike lol. and justin's funny.. so.. as for betty, i say that pirates of the carribean girl. kiera or sumthin.. and ron, well, i dont kniw. not selma , she's too old. just as long as she looks rich, snobbish and pret ty.. i' just hopin this turns out good!

Some people don't realize that actors can wear realistic wigs or dye their hair. I think Kristen Kreuk looks like she could be Veronica, but her smile is just WAY too sweet, and that's not really how Veronica is...Brittany Snow is definitely perfect for Betty, and off the top of my head, maybe Jessica Alba for Veronica??

I totally luv Shia L, and he'd make a great Jughead. Topher grace is also a good idea 4 Archie,or maybe Toby Maguire. For Betty, I vote 4 Kirsten Dunst she's perfect 4 the role, even if it is pretty predictable. And for Veronica, i'd say Rose Mcgowen, even if she is a bit old 4 the part.

I think Rose McGowen would make a perfect Veronica. As for Betty I think Zooey Sechanel would make a perfect Betty. The look and everything goes together, though Rose McGowen is not a teen and neither is Zooey I do believe they can pull the two roles off very good. Alot of movies have had older people play teenage roles such as Girl Interrupted, Angelina Jolie's part was suppose to be about 17 and Angelina JOlie was beyond 17 when she did it, Yet she still gave the audience the impression of thats how it was suppose to be.

Brittany Snow would be good, though her look may be a bit too innocent and not tomboyish enough. I think Kristen Dunst gets my vote, as obvious as it is. Or maybe Amanda Bynes - she isn't blond but has the right attitude. And for Veronica, Selma Blair would be great, but other options are Eliza Dushku or Katie Holmes. Topher Grace would be perfect though! Don't know who else could play it better.
