Flatiron Building, 95m (311 ft) and 22 storeys. According to the article the Eiffel Tower is 1,069 ft tall and the fire broke out near the top - on the third floor.

Eiffel tower as "very tall"? How telling: the French want you to think its tall, whereas in reality, it's probably the height of, say, the Flatiron Building. Kinda illustrative of the French zeitgeist, no?
