Tour of the City's Brooklyn Heights Brownstone

Newsday visits the Brooklyn Heights townhouse the city is selling at auction in a few weeks. Newsday even has a video tour of the former residence of the city's school chancellors, and it looks pretty nice, even though the kitchens (two!) and bathrooms could stand to be remodeled.

The home was open to interested buyers and probably many more curious visitors and NYC real estate addicts. "We own a brownstone in Crown Heights and it is becoming a hot area, so we just wanted to see what else is out there. This one is really nice." Joseph Fernandez, the first school chancellor to live there, thought living at 80 State Street was fine, in spite of its initial condition, but add "I would have preferred to have lived in Manhattan, honestly."
