Hot Bathrooms To Be In

XL's bathroom; Photo - NY PostThe New York Post dispatches its own Post Potty Patrol to report on the best bathrooms at restaurants and clubs in the city. The bathrooms they choose? The ones at XL, bar 89, Tao (we were familiar with the pachinko machines in the ladies' room, apparently the men's room is the place to be), Jekyll & Hyde, Dusk, Noa, and Glass, plus the ones at Jay-Z's 40/40 . Gothamist is very familiar with various bathrooms in the city, we'd like to add that the bathrooms at Brasserie are cool, with that orange resin trough/sink. And at the shared trough sink (must be a brasserie thing) at Pastis, we washed hands next to Jean-Georges.

Men's urinal at Felix Ladies' vanity at FelixIf you're in Hong Kong, the most decadent bathrooms in the world might be at the nouveau cuisine restaurant Felix, which is atop of the swank Peninsula Hotel.

Designed by Philippe Starck, the bathrooms have floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the city; the men's urinals overlook the city, letting Masters of the Universes essentially pee onto city while ladies can only primp at vanities by the windows.

The bathrooms at Milk & Honey are nice, with Kiehl's products. The bathroom at Double Happiness - very peaceful if you're feeling pukey. And the ladies' room at Union Square Cafe is way too small to have two stalls.

I'm a born and bred New Yorker but I'd encourage all of us not to get too myopic.

There's a world of fabulous bathrooms across our great land. Check out America's Best Restroom Hall of Fame and the most recent winner of this coveted award -- The Grand Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.

The HK Felix's bathroom are indeed amazing. My aunt was so impressed with her side that she had to snap a picture.

In Japan, ALL bathrooms are decadent. It takes a while to get used to electric toilet seats, but they are very nice in the winter.

i agree with eli, having used japanese toliets, there's something about not having to get your hands dirty. plus, the water is warm so it feels strangly good...that sounds so gay....

Gay is the new black, remember.

Gramercy Tavern in NYC has the nicest (women's) bathrooms I've used.
