More BBQ is coming in August... http://www.bbq-nyc.com/

I love BBQ. After a trip to Nashville last year, I couldn't believe how my northeast upbringing had deprived me of such smoky savory trips.

I think everyone has the BBQ bug. My father just built his own smoker out of an aluminum trash can and a hot plate.

1) Yeah, the "10" thing I didn't understand, but unsurpassed I got.

2) The rain was annoying, because we had to hold umbrellas, thereby losing one hand for drink or 'cue, but we worked it out where Jake would hold the umbrella while I ate and we'd rotate. But no deep fried oreos here. We could have gotten deep fried Mars Bars at A Salt and Battery, though.

1) I'm confused. What's the conversion rate for a 10 "in barbecue language"?

2) Generally, I'm jealous, and still traumatized by the sorry sorry bbq festival we got roped into attending in DC last summer. It was like going to the good ribs restaurant, then feeling obliged to go to the other ones, while baking on a treeless, closed-off Penna Ave. The one saving grace: deep-fried oreos.

I know, I think we accounted for at least .1% of all consumed. Which is pretty gross.
