Bloomberg vs. Miller

2003_6_bloombygiff.jpgFinally, the Mayor and the City Council have come to agreement on the city's budget - the Times says "the mayor agreed to cut fewer city services and the Council to scale back some demands," ending "weeks of bickering, posturing and maneuvering."

No kidding. Lately, it's been a verbal smackdown between Mayor Michael Bloomberg and City Council Speaker Gifford Miller. Well, mainly Miller, speaking for the council, whose budget is at the mercy of the Mayor, but lately, the Mayor, through his spokespeople, had been fighting back, at press conferences for other events. Gothamist is sure Gifford will be running for Mayor in 2005.
