Disgraced reporter and Times shake-up catalyst Jayson Blair let CNN know how he felt about Howell Raines' and Gerald Boyd's resignations in an email: "I am sorry to hear that more people have fallen in this sequence of events that I had unleashed. I wish the rolling heads had stopped with mine." Gothamist notes that Blair certainly is a writer in need of a good copy editor.
Gothamist on Jayson Blair and how earlier Raines said he wouldn't quit.

Admittedly, Gothamist is rife with grammatical errors. But we weren't never at the Times.
Jayson Blair gave an exclusive interview to Channel 2 News. He was really lame. When asked why he did it, he started talking about how 'lost in all this is the human tragedy of the situation' and when asked what the human tragedy was, he was stumped. Then went on around in circles blaming drugs, mental illness (oh really? you're crazy?), his unhappy life choices since college where he was told what to do by professors (huh?) and at work. For every instance where it seemed he was saying 'my fault,' he would bring up 5 more excuses.
I hope he doens't make a dime from this.
