Last night, the Radiohead fans were out in full force, as MTV2 had announced that on Saturday morning (right now), $2 tickets would go on sale for MTV2's $2Bill concert with Radiohead at the Beacon Theater. The show will be on June 5, MTV2 airdate of June 17.
Scads of people were waiting around the Beacon Theater on Broadway between West 74th and 75th Streets, making themselves very comfortable for a long night. Probably by the time you read this, these dedicated fans will have gotten the tickets and be sleeping on their way back home.
Updated, June 6, 2003: Gothamist saw the lines outside the concert last night...

god damn it, i wanna go see radiohead
I have to say, I was impressed with these fans' dedication. I don't think I'd wait like that for someone. Unless it was some TV-Film-Food triple bill with Dick Wolf, Owen Wilson, and Anthony Bourdain.
nothing like being passed out, faced-down on broadway. i call that bum-style!
Count me in if that triple header ever happens.
In Grand Rapids this last week and the official quote from more than three bar assistants was "nothing happens here". My colleague and I were convinced that Radiohead were about to play a "secret" gig at the [insert Grand Rapids Michigan, covention center | pub | carpark | tuck shop ... something].
Oh dear. We were most mistaken.
