Rupert Murdoch is Evil

Rupert is Evil ads; Moveon.orgGothamist can't wait to see the new ads that basically paint Rupert Murdoch as the media tyrant we know he is. Created by MoveOn.org, the ads try to inform the American public about Rupert's evil plans to take over the world, by way of his Death Star, News Corporation, as the FCC may be relaxing media ownership rules.

The TV spot focuses on Murdoch and a channel surfer's inability to get the octogenarian media mogul off his screen regardless of which channel he visits. A voiceover then declares, "On June 2nd, the Republicans on the FCC plan to get rid of an important regulation so that Rupert Murdoch can buy more TV stations, radio stations and newspapers, giving him control over much of the news you hear." The spot ends with the tagline, "This monopoly is no game."

More on Rupert Murdoch. Rupert, Ted Turner, Sumner Redstone...they don't make crazy media moguls the way they used to. They seem to get crazier as they get older. If only we could do a crazy old people ad with crazy media moguls.

After 50 years of monopoly by the 3 networks, Fox became the 4th network and provides a different perspective via their programming and cable outlet in Fox News Channel. Why is it OK to have 3 liberal networks (ABC,CBS,NBC), and not OK to have 1 unbiased network in Fox? In the name of diversity (always a liberal agenda), let all points of view be heard and seen. I am surprised at Gothamist's vilification of Rupert Murdoch.

Gothamist likes Rupert Murdoch because he's an easy target. And I think you're really simplifying and confusing the matter by thinking Fox News Channel is the same as the Fox News Network. I agree that the networks are overall liberal-leaning, but Fox News (and especially the Post) can be really extreme and crazy to the point of discounting important facts to prove their point. I love the Post, Fox News I'm not a fan of, but I don't think I'm a fan of any news channel with the exception of NBC. I get my news from the Internet, where all is true.

Fox unbiased? What kind of crack are you smoking?

Fox is this good and unbiased:

This simply proves Fox is a joke. And we know Ailes is a criminal. So I guess that makes Fox a criminally run joke.

I wouldn't have a problem with them being around if they got it, no if they got anything right at least one out of every 100 tries.

Do yourself a favor. Listen to the truth of BBC and NPR and shit-can Fox.

Fox - unbiased ... give me a break you simpleton.

Hatemail can go to: Erik.Sorenson@MSNBC.com or feedback@msnbc.com or Michael Savage. you probably have his personal cell number anyway.

Rupert murdoch is an evil dictator. Everyone in the world should be scared of this man and it is proven with past presidents and prime ministors. If you go against him (like many outspoken MPs and Governers have found) you will be ridiculed into reclusiveness. The world will hate you and you will never sleep let alone work again! Now take George Bush Jnr for example, he kept fu**ing up everything from the note he wrote to Miss Rice, to every speach he gave... so the media turned it round by having a mimic stand and deliver right next to Bush. This must havve been awkard for bush, but this was the last attempt they had at making bush seem competent by showing that although he cannot pronounce or spell or read or write very well, he does know it! Therefore if he knows it, and is willing to allow someone to take the piss out of him, it shows he is well aware of the silly things he does, but they do not bother him... the media try to show that these are his applauded weaknesses... but his stregnth is American Defence and Conflict Resolution... I think... he is an idiot.

Fox isn't unbiased, it's conservative - it's within its rights to be, but why kid yourself that it's any more centrist than the National Review?

Be grateful he doesn't own your newspapers - he owns most of them in Australia, and has just taken a stake in the company that owns most of the rest.

He wants a one-party state with a market economy like China.

Someone really ought to kill the pure evil that is murdoch

RUPERT MURDOCH IS THE PRINCE OF DARKNESS. I received a degree in Journalism years ago, and I have been increasingly aware of the evil tentacles spreading forth from Fox News, etc. FAIR and UNBIASED? The fact that ANYONE could believe that suggests that we have big problems in this country. Bill O'RELLY? My GOD. What a loud mouth bully.. yelling at everyone that doesn't agree with EVIL LORD MURDOCH to
"SHUT UP!!"
Look for a good 2004 DVD called "OUTFOXED". It uncover's Murdoch's sinister, Anti-American drive.
