A Butcher Counter In The Backyard

A Very Meaty Memorial Day; Photo - Jen Chung

It's over twenty four hours later, but Gothamist is still reeling from a Memorial Day BBQ that featured upwards of seven kinds of meat. The rain did not stop Uncle Peter from grilling a few sides of cattle. Gothamist is curious:

- How much meat can you eat in one sitting?
- What's your favorite kind?
- What did you eat this past Memorial Day?

    Sam, you saw I Spy AGAIN? Damn. I need to rent that, as I must get my Owen Wilson on. I love him.

    Here in Indianapolis we do two things very well during the Memorial Day weekend;

    1. Host IRL and famous people like Ruth Buzzi

    2. Provide a smorgastrough of grain-fed animal parts.

    However, I am a veg and DO veg over the holiday. I indulged in strawberries and a recipe for rice-krispie treats with a toasted almond, melted chocolate and coconut twist. I counter-acted with the new Michelob 95 calorie,low-carb beer. My recommendation; find somewhere else to skip carbs!

  • Me and the other Jake had some saucy bbq ribs over at his place.

    Other than that, I watched I-Spy again. Do you think Owen Wilson will marry me?
