I admit to being totally shocked when this lady sitting next to me at the movies, after seeing the Bruce Almighty trailer, say, "I don't usually like Jim Carrey, but this looks good." Bruce seems all schtick, even with Morgan Freeman who I love. I think Jim Carrey is funny, but in a sociological way: tortured funny man. Similar to Conan, I wonder how he feels that people prefer the Funny Jim Carrey to the Serious Jim Carrey, because it seems like he's serious and sad and depressed inside.
