White-Collar Slacking

Right out of Jayson Blair's (and many others') playbook, the Wall Street Journal gives tips for "white-collar slacking." Jane Spencer's article elegantly sums it up:

It has never been easier to be a white-collar slacker. There's also a handy chart on "How To Fake It" with today's technology. Wall Street Journal, you're just encouraging us! [Via Metafilter]

yeah- i used a mop, a bucket, and a tape of "i work hard for the money" to set up a dummy at my desk seven months ago and i haven't gone in since. i've got a variety of programming tricks generating email and stategy statements every 3 or four hours as i sit on the couch watching judge hatchett and eating cheesy poofs.
