A 29 year-old man was struck and killed by a stolen car while crossing Houston and Orchard. He has been identified as Columbia Business School student Patrick Sinclair-Hale.

This is really sad- I wonder if our friend Karlo up at Columbia knew him. That corner isn't even one of the bad ones- I actually have a lot more trouble at allen and houston- but I guess with the wrong person behind the wheel, any street can be bad.
Patrick was a first-term student in the process of completing finals. I recognize his photo but I didn't know him personally.
The January term students are a smaller group than the main body of students, only 180 vs the almost 600 that arrive in the fall. It's always hard to lose someone but particularly difficult for a group that close-knit.
