Working For The Man

Milton, his stapler, and the cubicle life, in Office SpaceGothamist knows that there are people out there who are quitting their jobs, even in a time of 6% unemployment, but, still, it seems surprising when we come across articles like the one in yesterday's Post about like-aged New Yorkers leaving the cubicle life without a clear post-job game plan. Perhaps it's because Gothamist has been so battered by lay-offs and job insecurity that we find people who can quit to be a mythical combination of brave and crazy.

The Post also had handy suggestions about what to do when/if you do quit, calling out www.i-resign.com in particular.

Our favorite movie about office life, Office Space (complete with TPS Reports), and our favorite cartoon about laid-off life, OddTodd.com.
