Can Gothamist help it when, after seeing this picture of Mayor Bloomberg, we think of Lily Tomlin's Edith Ann character from Laugh-In?

Also, Gothamist wonders if these kids were bored by the mayor, even though he was reading what looks like The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein? (Did anyone else out there go through an intense Shel Silverstein phase during elementary school, somewhere around 4th grade, where you just had to have A Light In the Attic and Where the Sidewalk Ends? Gothamist is just curious.)
