I didn't study tonight. I studied in the wee hours of the morn. I watched TV instead.
1) American Idol. I can't believe I watched it. Clay, here's a reality check: I'll see you in Chelsea singing to showtunes and dancing to Madonna remixes, where you belong baby!
2) The Manor House (on PBS). Loved it. Got really into it. Brits are really weird. And some are rich. And some are poor. And some play rich on weirdly historical tv reality series. And some play poor on weirdly historical tv reality series. The Snob-o-Meter on the PBS Web site is particularly fun and worthwhile. (For the record, I'm only 57% snob thank you very much).

i'm addicted to manor house- i think i was born in the wrong century. also, that scullery maid is hot.
also- 70% snob, which i think sounds a little high.
I just answered the questions as honestly as I could and got a 43%. At times, the questions were difficult to answer, such as when I only had two choices(either love the Hilton sisters or don't know who they were ... when the true answer is that I know of them hate everything they stand for).
Of all the reality shows, I find "Manor House" the most unsettling and can't bear to watch(I really liked "1900 House"). Perhaps it is my 21st century outlook, but I can't stand watching the Lord of the house refering to the loud mouth fat chick as "lower staff" to whom it is inappropriate for him to speak directly. Hoping for a people's revolution.

oops! sorry for the double post. please delete one or both at your descretion.
I'm 70% snob too.
A mere 57% snob myself
Manor House was hot. and yes, the scullery maid was not bad. I was 52% snob. the chef was such a prick ('til the end).
A fascinating Kenny interview on the Washington Post web site. You gotta love the honesty of the youngest servant (he HATES sir john):

The "You in 1905" snapshot is also very fun:
1)a boilermaker
2)i often strike for better wages
3)i read the paper religiously
4)i spend my free time at the pub(true!)
5)i cheat on my wife every chance i get(??)
6)i play football on the weekends with other wage earners
7)i get killed at the battle of jutland 1916.
I, too, am addicted to Manor House. It's the best show on tv. Surprisingly, I'm only 65% snob! I was sort of disappointed. Though I suspect that if the snob-o-meter had existed when I was in high school, I would have been in the 90% range.
I'm only 48% snob, but I'm pretty stuck up about that.
