i am writting this on Nov29th 2006. i am currently in mid production on a documentary about Lyric, the person not the violence of her death. i still need some more interviews from any of Lyrics friends. if you have anything you can offer to the film please contact me at doranart@gmail.com this is a film to celabrate Lyric, not a dramatic beauty and the beast type thing. my deadline for final cut is March 07, thank you...Ray Doran

I just visited Brooklyn Tabernacle and felt Lyric there. I knew her and her mom when Lyric was a child. She was beautiful in body and spirit then as well. I would love to hear from Deborah, her mom, to tell her how she has been on my mind since that fateful day in 2003. Mary

Sad that someone losing his gripe on life saw a shining star in the sky, and was not content with having known her. Her inner beauty will shine so long as we stand up against such brutality. I hope she can be my guardian angel, I, who does not get into religious stuff so easily. Lyric Benson, you have stepped onto another much larger stage, so we wait for your performance. Ricardo.

I am still in shock about this terrible tragedy. I remember Lyric in New Haven, when she worked at BAR, and she was so charming and nice. She really stood out from everyone around...she was just lovely. My heart goes out to her family.

I knew Lyric at Yale. She was warm, personable, and sparkled when ever she engaged in conversation. She was always a diva....she had her eye on the brass ring and she knew she could get it. God bless her.
