Pataki's Low Approval Rating

A Quinnipiac poll shows that Governor Pataki is at his lowest approval rating since October 2001. "Pollsters say Pataki may have upset New Yorkers by saying the state was fiscally healthy during his campaign, then dropping an $11.5 billion deficit bomb after his re-election." No kidding.

Even though Bloomberg said, in typically bizarre manner, ""If you want to get something from a friend of yours, I'd suggest you don't go smack him in the face with a wet fish and then say, 'Hey I need something.' Why don't you start out and say 'I understand your problems, let's find a way to do it together."' which Gothamist thinks means he won't slam Pataki in public, there's serious beef between the two. We're not sure who'd prevail: Pataki's got White House lust, but Bloomberg is a short billionaire.

Pataki is opposing raising taxes for the rich. Well, he can't mess with his constituency, but if he's wondering WHY his approval rating is sucking now...
