Subway Update

subwaymap.jpgThe Daily News has a subway exclusive:

- The N train from Coney Island once again will run express through much of Brooklyn to midtown Manhattan, using the Broadway line after crossing the bridge. That express route was halted in April 1986.
- The B train will run express from Brighton Beach on the Brighton line, cross over the bridge and run express through Manhattan to 59th St. along the Sixth Ave. line. It will continue as a local to Bedford Park in the Bronx or to 145th St. middays.
- The D - replacing the W in Brooklyn - will run express from Coney Island through much of Brooklyn along the Fourth Ave. line, go over the bridge and travel along the Sixth Ave. line in Manhattan to 145th St. It then will continue to the Bronx.
- The Grand St. shuttle will be discontinued as B and D trains will once again stop at the Chinatown hub.
- The W will run from Whitehall St. in lower Manhattan as a local along the Broadway line and terminate in Astoria, Queens.
- The Q-diamond will be replaced by the B in Brooklyn and the N in Manhattan.
