Otto Enoteca

Tania and I went to Otto Enoteca Tuesday night and had a fine time. Otto is the latest in the growing empire of Mario Batali, Joe Bastianich and friends. The meal itself was good, not tremendous, but whenever you can linger over snacky foods and some wine (a Lambrusco in this case) and chat for over two hours with one of your best friends, it's a fine evening.

I felt it odd to parse out my different best friends. And is it weird to have more than one best friend? I have so many very good friends from different parts of my life. Like Tania is my best friend from Bright Sun days and in most matters Chinese. Jake is my best friend in trying to rule the world through blogs and revenge. Maybe I should start calling people "very good friends."
