Honestly, just a little bit of us wants to be just like Gawker - Gawker gets mentioned in an Observer piece about architect Daniel Liebskind, which is not all that surprising, since Gawker reads like Liebeskind's tracking device. Gawker is the glamorous mother who is too busy to spend time with us; the analogy I like is Gothamist is like that scamp Eloise and Gawker is her mummy who is traipsing about the continent.
