Senator Charles Schumer's car was stolen in Park Slope, Brooklyn. He got into a snit when E-Z Pass charged him the fee for an new transponder - the ridiculous sum of $23. I've lived in Park Slope, Jake grew up in Park Slope, and as we all know, it's a tough neighborhood. All those ex-hippies, all those adopted Chinese babies, all those young hipsters who think Williamsburg is over, the crowd from Barnes & Noble, the thugs from the Brooklyn Museum. Schumer, you should have known better than to leave your hot 2001 Ford Taurus on the street.

lightningfield.com has great pictures of Park Slope.

that is one hot ride. you have to give it to schumer to keep it real by being sort of poor- which, of course means making less than 500k/yr in pslope.
I think the EZ-Pass theft is a big conspiracy by the city. The replacemtns fee is over $20. My friend Pak's EZ-pass was stolen out of his car as well. (The stereo too.) Why would anyone steal the EZ pass? To save on the $4-5 toll for a 12 hour period before it gets reported stolen? It's the city man. Trying to raise money through the replacement fee.
