Infernal Affairs

Over Christmas holidays, I saw this Hong Kong cop thriller, Infernal Affairs, with my parents, in order to make my 60-movies-for-2002 quota. I was pleasantly surprised, because even though it starred two Canto-pop singers, Infernal Affairs had twists and edgy moments that the cut-and-dried Hollywood product (and I'm talking about you, The Recruit) could only dream for. I told my parents that Hollywood would love to remake it. And in fact, a deal with Brad Pitt producing, and possibly starring, has emerged.
