AL Hirschfeld artist self portrait A sad day for the arts: Caricaturist Al Hirschfeld Dies at 99. A lot of us are familiar with his drawings in The New York Times Sunday Arts & Leisure section, and looking for the Ninas. His beautiful fluid drawings (it's too limiting to call them caricatures) captured various artists with more dynamism than photographs. Look at his work at The Margo Feiden Galleries.
